Do I have to provide a link to you on our calculator pages?
No. As a matter of fact, we are one of the few companies that allow you to brand our calculators as your own. We require no visible reference to KJE Computer Solutions, LLC or link to our website. We do require a copyright notice in the comments of the source code for each page that you publish with our calculators. This notice, however, is only visible if a visitor chooses to "View Source" from their browser.
Can I purchase these calculators on behalf of a client?
Yes, however all updates will be forwarded to the purchaser of the software. If you are not going to be providing long term support for a client's website, you may wish to have your client purchase the calculators directly from us. Your client can then send you access information to download the software so that you can handle the installation.
We have an outside resource deploying our website, how do you support their deployment?
We are happy to support just about any third party resource in the deployment of your calculators. All we request is that they you provide us with their contact information. You can include this additional information in the comments section of your order, via e-mail, or by just giving us a phone call. Your outside resource can then feel free to contact us directly with any questions or issues that may arise.
Which browser versions to you support?
We support browsers with Java version 1.02 or greater. Specifically we support Netscape Navigator 4.x and above and Internet Explorer 4.01 and above and AOL 4 and above. However, Internet Explorer 5 or higher and Netscape Navigator 4.78 are our recommended browsers. Both of these browsers provide use of java archive (JAR) files, utilized by our calculators to reduce the time to load our applets.
We also test our applets on a wide variety of platforms. This includes Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, Macintosh 9, Macintosh X and Linux. The combination of our operating system and browser support covers over 98% of all internet use.
I heard Java isn't supported on Windows XP, do your calculators work on Windows XP?
Yes - our calculators work great on Windows XP! Although Java was reported as not being supported by Microsoft, it in fact fully supports Java in Windows XP. In addition, all major vendors, including Gateway, Dell, Compaq and HP all include Java support in every Windows XP computer they sell.
You can also download the latest Microsoft version of Java directly from Microsoft, to go to the download page:

Which web servers do you support?
Because all of our applets run on your visitor's browser, we do not require any special web-server processing or installation. That makes us compatible with virtually every web server in use today. This includes Apache, Microsoft -IIS, Netscape-Enterprise, Zeus, Rapidsite, thttpd, Tiger Shark and almost any other HTTP server on virtually any platform. Our calculators have been successfully setup on Windows NT, Windows 2000, Mac OS 9, Linux and Unix.
What can I customize on the calculators?
Our calculators were designed to be extremely flexible and customizable.
You can change the colors, fonts, page content, report content,
add your own logos, navigation and much more. To see even more
customization options, please take a look at our feature
page and our FAQ on customization.
I heard java applets are a security risk, are your financial calculators secure?
Our Financial Calculator applets are very secure. The java applets created by KJE Computer Solutions, LLC use Java JDK 1.1 and are compatible with all major browsers version 4.0 and higher. The memory and hardware security inherent in java applets does not allow direct access to the client's computer harddrive, memory, printer or any other attached device. Neither is the applet able to access any remote server other than the one that the applet was launched from. Since the applets reside on your company's own webserver, there is no risk of the applet inappropriately accessing other servers and compromising system security. This combination provides very secure and stable content.
